Using the service

By casting a vote or submitting a report, you agree to these terms. This service is intended for visitors aged 18 and over. You are responsible for your use of the service and the information you submit.

Fair participation

Cast your own opinion. Do not automate votes, bypass abuse controls, manipulate results using multiple identities, interfere with the service, or organize harassment. Do not submit threats, private personal information, false allegations, or unlawful content in reports.

Opinions, not facts

Votes express subjective preferences. Results are not verified assessments, endorsements, or representative public-opinion research. Profiles are not affiliated with or endorsed by the people featured. Names and factual references identify the relevant public figure.

Site artwork and AI-generated portraits

Images on Love or Diss are original artwork and AI-generated portraits made for this service. Love or Diss reserves all rights in those files. You may view them on this site. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse them without written permission. Where an image is AI-generated, the image credits page says so. A credit does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, the person shown.

Accounts and comments

Comments are open on every profile; you can read without voting. Choose Love or Diss on that person to write a comment. Anyone can report a comment without voting. An account is not required to post, and we do not require you to sign in with Google to comment. If you choose an optional account, you get a random public handle and other people never see your Google details. Keep comments about the person’s public work: no private details, no threats, no harassment, no impersonation, and no links used for spam.

Ordinary comments are published immediately. Detected spam is held for review. Clear threats and private information are held for review before publication. Held comments become eligible for removal after 14 days without review. Hidden comments become eligible for removal 30 days after they were hidden: their text is removed, and a record without the text is eligible for deletion after another 30 days for moderation history. We may hide or delete comments that break these rules. Signed-in authors can appeal a hidden comment once from the account page; guest comments cannot be appealed, but you can send a private report. An open appeal pauses removal of that hidden comment and its report and appeal records for up to 90 days; after a decision, the usual 30 days run from the decision, or from a later hide or deletion if that is more recent. Comment reports are kept with the reporter identifier while the case is open, and become eligible for deletion 30 days after a case is resolved, or 90 days if it is never reviewed. These are eligibility periods; cleanup may run later. Deleting a comment or your account is permanent; hiding happens at once. Later removal of stored records is not promised on a timer. Losing a browser cookie does not transfer comment ownership to a new cookie or to a Google account.

News headlines and summaries

When the news feature is on, stories are listed automatically from outlets’ public news feeds. A listed headline is the outlet’s own wording, shown with the outlet’s name and a link to its article. It is the outlet’s reporting, not a statement by Love or Diss, and the linked article remains the primary record. An AI-assisted summary, where one is shown, is labelled as such and lists its sources. Stories are reviewed after publication and are time-limited: each leaves the live feed when its source window ends. We may correct, replace, or withdraw a story at any time.

Editorial review

We may review reports, correct or remove profiles, pause voting, and restrict abusive activity. Report an issue to request a correction or raise a privacy, removal, or misuse concern. Please provide enough context for a review.

Availability

Features and availability may change, and errors or interruptions may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or the accuracy of user-generated results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
